Announced yesterday, Hobonichi has begun their brand new Hobonichi MOTHER Project!
Watch my translation of the project’s announcement to hear more about their upcoming MOTHER book. In addition to the book, it seems like new content and merchandise are on their way, according to Shigesato Itoi himself!

In regards to the project, Shigesato Itoi tweeted, “Hobonichi is creating content and merchandise related to the MOTHER series. Please look forward to it!”.

For fans to receive updates on the project, Hobonichi has created a new webpage that allows anyone to sign up for email updates. All you have to do is type your email address into the box next to the red button, then click that red button. After that, an email verification message should be sent to your inbox. Click the first link in that message, and you’ll be signed up for updates!

Hobonichi isn’t the only company interested in making more MOTHER merchandise; the Japanese gaming merchandise company EDITMODE seems interested in creating more after hearing about this project according to a tweet they made: “Hobonichi’s MOTHER project is the best! We used to make MOTHER T-shirts. That was over 10 years ago though, would you be interested if we resold them?”
